NUR 113: Nursing Concepts I
Semester Hours 8This course provides foundational knowledge of nursing concepts and clinical decision-making essential for delivering evidence-based nursing care. The content covers, but is not limited to, coordinator/manager of care, perfusion, oxygenation, infection, inflammation, tissue integrity, nutrition, elimination, mobility/immobility, cellular regulation, acid/base balance, and fluid/electrolyte balance.
NUR 114: Nursing Concepts II
Semester Hours 8This course provides foundational knowledge of nursing concepts and clinical decision-making to deliver evidence-based nursing care. The content includes, but is not limited to, care coordination/management, sexuality, reproduction and childbearing, infection, inflammation, sensory perception, perfusion, cellular regulation, mood disorders and affect, renal fluid/electrolyte balance, and medical emergencies.
NUR 115: Evidence-Based Clinical Reasoning
Semester Hours 2This course offers students opportunities to collaborate with various members of the healthcare team in a family and community context. Students apply clinical reasoning to integrate individual, health, and nursing concepts.
NUR 209: Concepts for Healthcare Transition Students
Semester Hours 10This course focuses on applying nursing concepts to help health care professionals transition into the role of registered nurse. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based clinical decision-making and nursing concepts within a family and community context for various health alterations throughout the lifespan.
NUR 211: Advanced Nursing Concepts
Semester Hours 7This course offers students the opportunity to integrate advanced nursing care concepts within a family and community context. The content includes, but is not limited to, the role of care manager for advanced concepts in safety, fluid and electrolyte balance, cellular regulation, gas exchange, psychosocial well-being, growth and development, perfusion, and medical emergencies.
NUR 221: Advanced Evidence-Based Clinical Reasoning
Semester Hours 7This course offers students opportunities to demonstrate graduate competencies through didactic and preceptorship experiences essential for transitioning into the nursing profession. The content in nursing and healthcare domains includes care management, professionalism, and healthcare delivery systems.
