The Child Care and Development program offers training in child care and development for daycare teachers, aides, and others pursuing careers as daycare or nursery school teachers, Head Start professionals, and more. This program features courses available on demand during evening hours to accommodate employed individuals. It enables childcare workers to fulfill the minimum requirements of Alabama Head Start and Child Care Standards. In addition, the state of Georgia mandates further training in CPR and First Aid, as well as in identifying, reporting, and addressing the needs of abused, neglected, or deprived children.
