WKO 143: MSSC Manufacturing Processes and Production Course

This course is designed to equip students with knowledge and skills related to quality practices and measurement in a manufacturing environment. Topics covered include participating in periodic internal quality audit activities, checking the calibration of gauges and other data collection equipment, suggesting continuous improvements, inspecting materials and products/processes at all stages to ensure they meet specifications, documenting the results of quality problems, communicating quality issues, taking corrective actions to restore or maintain quality, recording process outcomes and trends, identifying the fundamentals of blueprint reading, and using common measurement systems and precision measurement tools. Students who complete this course will receive an MSSC certificate in quality practices and measurement. Additionally, students completing courses WKO 141, 142, 143, and 144 will earn the Certified Production Technician credential.
