Applied Technology: Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC) Option

This program emphasizes the fundamental principles of air conditioning and refrigeration. Instruction covers the theory and principles of refrigeration and heat transfer, HVAC/R system components, common and specialty tools for HVAC/R, and the application of basic compression refrigeration concepts. Upon completion, students should be able to identify system components and understand their functions, use common and specialty HVAC/R tools, and maintain basic compression refrigeration system components.
