ACC 129: Individual Income Taxes

Semester Hours 3
This course introduces the relevant laws governing individual income taxation. Emphasis is placed on filing status, exemptions for dependents, gross income, adjustments, deductions and computation of tax. Upon completion, students should be able to complete various tax forms pertaining to the topics covered in the course.

ACC 149: Introduction to Accounting Spreadsheets

Semester Hours 3
This course provides a working knowledge of computer spreadsheets and their use in accounting. Topics include: pre-programmed problems, model-building problems, beginning-level macros, graphics and what-if analysis enhancements of template problems. Upon completion, the student should be able to use Microsoft excel 2010 application to design, format, graph and produce business spreadsheets that incorporate accounting, financial, statistical and other functions. The course also will help prepare the student for the Microsoft Office Excel 2010 Certification.

ACC 150: Computerized General Ledger

Semester Hours 3
This course introduces microcomputer applications related to the major accounting systems. Topics include: general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, payroll and correcting, adjusting and closing entries. Upon completion, students should be able to use a computer accounting package to solve accounting problems.
