NAS 121: Fundamentals of Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide

This course is designed for students to apply the knowledge and skills necessary for performing basic nursing care safely and efficiently in various supervised healthcare settings. Emphasis is placed on safety, therapeutic communication, infection control, critical thinking, and accurate documentation. Upon completing this course, the student will demonstrate initial competency in providing care to patients and clients in different healthcare environments.

Prerequisites

EMS 100 and successful completion of all developmental coursework or equivalent placement scores.
