NAS 100: Long Term Care Nursing Assistant

This course fulfills the seventy-five (75) hour Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) requirements for training long-term care nursing assistants in preparation for certification through competency evaluation. Emphasis is placed on developing the knowledge, attitudes, and skills required for long-term nursing assistants. Upon completing this course, students should perform satisfactorily on written examinations and clinical skills. Course graduates receive a certificate of completion and are eligible to take the certification examination to become Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).

Prerequisites

EMS 100 or proof of BLS Provider level CPR certification and successful completion of all developmental coursework or equivalent placement scores.
