Chattahoochee Valley Community College Foundation
The Chattahoochee Valley Community College Foundation (CVCC Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in 1985 to encourage and receive voluntary private support from alumni, parents, friends, corporations, foundations, and other donors for the benefit of Chattahoochee Valley Community College. Since its inception, the Foundation has played an important role in securing private and public contributions that support scholarships and enhance the educational opportunities available to CVCC students.
The CVCC Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors whose members serve three-year terms. The Board is composed of business and community leaders from the College’s service area, including Russell, Lee, Barbour, Bullock, and Macon counties in Alabama, as well as Fort Moore and the Columbus, Georgia metropolitan area. Board members share a strong commitment to the mission of the College and work to strengthen community support for CVCC and its students.
The Office of Institutional Advancement works in partnership with the CVCC Foundation to build relationships and secure external resources that support the mission and strategic priorities of the College. Institutional Advancement serves as a liaison between the College and the Foundation Board, engages alumni and community partners, and coordinates fundraising initiatives, including major gift efforts and special campaigns.
Through the support of donors and community partners, the CVCC Foundation provides scholarship assistance to eligible students each semester, helping reduce financial barriers and expand access to higher education.
