The structure and function of the digestive, urinary, reproductive, endocrine, and immune systems are presented. Disease processes that are related to these systems will be included. Basic concepts of reproduction, growth and development, and nutrition are taught. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate a basic working knowledge of these body systems. This is a CORE course for Medical Assisting.

Prerequisites

MAT 101 and MAT 102 with a grade of ā€œCā€ or better. All developmental coursework is complete.
