CVCC Foundation

Chattahoochee Valley Community College Foundation (CVCC Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in 1985 to stimulate voluntary private support from alumni, parents, friends, corporations, foundations, and others for the benefit of CVCC. Since its inception, the Foundation has played a vital role in securing private and public donations, and scholarships to serve the cultural, educational, and financial needs of a diverse student population.

The CVCC Foundation is managed by a board of directors. Each board member serves at least a three-year term. The CVCC Foundation is composed of business and community leaders who are residents of the CVCC service area, which includes the following counties: Russell, Lee, Barbour, Bullock, and Macon, in Alabama, and Fort Moore and the Columbus, Georgia metropolitan area. These individuals have a strong interest in the College and are committed to using their talents, energy, and influence to generate community support for the College and Foundation.

The Office of Institutional Advancement builds relationships and raises external funds to support the mission of the College. Institutional Advancement pursues its goals by serving as a liaison between the College and the Foundation Board, interacting with the community and the College’s alumni, and coordinating public relations efforts as they relate to fundraising initiatives, including major-gift campaigns. The ongoing role of Institutional Advancement is to raise funds and foster relationships for the College.

The CVCC Foundation awards funds each semester to students who demonstrate financial need.
